Academic honors earned during the school year are based upon a student’s grade point average for specific semesters of study. Honor students are designated as those with a GPA of 3.5 to 3.79 as Honor Roll, a GPA of 3.8 to 3.99 as High Honor Roll, and a GPA of 4.0 or higher as the Principal’s Honor Roll.
Honor Society designation (Academic Lamps) are earned by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 and higher for three consecutive semesters. Advanced Placement and Honor courses that have a 5-point grading scale are also figured into a student’s GPA for Honor Roll status. Students with any grade lower than C- do not qualify.
